how/when did you start your company/business?
It all started when I decided to make a bow tie as a Valentine’s day gift for my boyfriend at the time. My friends really liked it so I started making bow ties for them. Then when I was laid off from my 9 to 5, I decided to start up a company since I was having so much fun doing it!

where do you come up with your ideas/concepts? where do you gather inspiration (for anything)?
I love to people watch and observe what they’re wearing. Also, me in a fabric store is like a kid in a candy store.  I LOVE fabrics — colors, prints, textures. A lot of my inspiration is drawn from being in the store, pulling whatever fabrics that catches my eye.

advice for others? best advice you’ve ever received?
Be competitive but in a healthy way. Work together to help each other grow, you’ll get a lot further in life.

what are some things you can’t live without?
Laughter, Friends, Family, and my google calendar >.<

what’s your current obsession?
Japanese food, but that’s past present and future obsession. Oh, also Instagram for Intwined. Everytime someone new adds me or likes my photo, I get really giddy inside.

something most people would be surprised to know about you?
Up until recently, I used to be really scared of needles. I even ran away bawling my eyes out when I was about to get my ears pierced when I was an early teen. Ironically though, I got my first tattoo before I got my ears pierced..
